The Year 2011 in Review

We have so much to be thankful for in 2011. This year was full of excitement, changes, success, lessons, and mostly growth. We went everywhere in between the North Georgia Mountains to Cancun, Mexico. We are so lucky and truly blessed to have each other, to have a great support system, amazing clients, and above all as cliche as it may sound, do what we love! With so much to look forward to in 2012 we can hardly wait to see what’s in store, and to bring the most beautiful images we capture to our site, blog, and facebook for our viewers! We also have many plans we wish to bring to reality, so please sit back and enjoy an overview of what 2011 was like for us…
Happy 2012 from Anna & Annika

We are always so excited to be able to bring to life our vision and ideas. For the Winter Wonderland styled shoot we decided to do a giveaway and select from our favorite love stories! The first couple selected was not able to make it, so we contact our runner up couple who was able to help us last minute! We are so thankful for them and they were a perfect match for what we had in mind.

It is this time of the year again! Time we want to be close to our loved ones and the time of many beautiful winter things. Being in Georgia, we usually don’t have the possibility to work with snow and our winters sometimes are nowhere close to the temperature in other parts of the country, so we had to find other ways to make this shoot as wintery and as ‘white Christmas’ as possible. Here are some advice for brides that would like to decorate their venue or even own backyard wedding by themselves. First of all it is important to pick a theme, and after this decision has been made, keep a consistent color scheme and “key objects” that repeat throughout the styling. In our case, we chose the colors pomegranate red, ivory, and gold and incorporated it into objects like keys, ornaments, and cranberries as well as pomegranate. The cake and cupcakes have a simple icing wit edible gold leaf, pomegranate and cranberries. Marshmallows with Cranberries on a stick not only make an impression but is also a cheap way to make a big impression with an arrangement. We used small, tall glasses with pomegranate/Champagne and added edible gold leaf/rock sugar rim for a special touch. The place holders are small mason jars filled with sand/epson salt mix that holds a little sign with the name. The menu is also simply made but little touches such as the candy cane paper clip and the little flag on it can make all the difference. Lately, we have often seen mason jar snow globes in stores for a high price tag and decided to create some our selves for a fraction of the cost. Simply attaching a miniature Christmas tree to the lid of the jar and filling the glass with fake snow. A very easy way to add something to your table is to collect different kinds of empty glass bottles and spray paint them the color you desire, it makes a big impact, and it will be part of your color scheme.

We would like to thank the lovely couple, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher for sharing their love in front of our lenses. They have been married for a year now and the sparks are clearly still flying around. Also a very special thanks to our savior of all times, Vania! This is the season of love and nothing speaks louder than these images. We wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Enjoy.

We are so very thankful to do what we love as our job, which makes it feel like it isn’t one at all. We are grateful for the fact that we are allowed to freely express our creativity and visions through our photography work. We are so blessed to be surrounded by great friends and family that support us in every way and keeps us going each and every day! Photography has made us appreciate every little detail in everything and how each individual is uniquely special. We thank you for taking the time to look at our work, and hope you will always be back for more! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

To express our gratitude for your support and kindness, we put together a small styled shoot to give you a little bit of an eye candy on Thanksgiving — like we need more food on this day! Our concept comes from the Native American beauty, nature, and fashion. We paired gorgeous mustard and turquoise colors for the first section of the shoot and a burnt orange, red rust and teal blue in the second part of the shoot.

Thank you Karla for modeling for us, and giving the perfect facial features to our idea and also your makeup expertise!

We couldn’t wait to share the most beautiful wedding we had the pleasure to photograph early this Fall in the Sunshine State!
The wedding venue was nothing less than breathtaking, the details were so meticulously thought of, the bride looked absolutely gorgeous, and the groom, just glowing with happiness!
The cream and green color palette brought a soft and subtle tone into this majestic location and merged with the beautiful Florida greenery and palm trees that surrounded the place of ceremony and reception. We love the mixture of simplicity and elegance that was put together in great taste. Bride and Groom decided to do a first look before the ceremony (which we strongly recommend) therefore, we were able to capture some beautiful images at sunset and at the rooftop. Closest family members and friends attended this destination wedding, making it intimate and very special. We feel so lucky and blessed to have been a part of this beautiful day in Giselly and Junior’s lives. Hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as we enjoyed photographing them!
